The Fredonia Baptist Christian Nursery School is holding an Open House on Wednesday, March 29 in the classroom from 6-7:30PM. The pre-school is located in the Harry E. Wheelock School on Chestnut Street in Fredonia, NY. Parents and siblings may enter at door #6 and follow the signs to Room 306.
Returning students and new enrollees are welcome. The Open House offers an opportunity for parents to meet the teachers, enroll students for fall semester, and learn about the curriculum.
Incoming students must be age three by December 1, 2017 and show proof of state-required immunizations. Four- and five-year-olds may also register.
This pre-school is non-denominational and begins a child’s first formal education outside the home. Believing that early training enhances the learning process and avoids cognitive problems later, skills are emphasized in listening, sharing, organizing, and responsibilities each day.
Class time is 8:45-11:30AM. Parents may choose a two-day or three-day program. Enrollment may permit afternoon sessions. Tuition is competitive and payment plans are available.
Teachers Nicole Guerra and Taylor Gates will be present to explain daily routines and expectations. The public school calendar will be followed. Snow days and emergency closings will be published on WDOE, Channels 2 and 4, and on Facebook (@FredoniaBaptistChristianNurserySchool).
A monthly newsletter is sent home with the student explaining the theme and skills to be developed in academic, physical, emotional and social areas. Emphasis is placed on beginning phonetics, shapes, colors, and numbers through play or one-on-one instruction using crafts, music, and science.
If you are unable to attend the Open House, you may call any morning and request an application be mailed to your home. An orientation for accepted students will be held later in the summer. Questions may be directed to Rev. Donald Howard at 716-679-0366, Genevieve Ludemann at 716-672-4771, or the office at 716-679-9966.
